The world mourns the loss of Zyquan Mitchell, better known as Lil Kody, Famous Kody, or Mr. Blicky. The young TikToker was famous for his videos of dancing and lip-syncing in various places, often with his sisters and family members.
Lil Kody was a sweet, kind, and funny person. He had a lot of fans, friends, and family who loved him dearly. He was only 21 years old when he died in a tragic car accident.
He was also a father, brother, and a popular TikToker who left us too soon. But what exactly happened to him? What happened to Lil Kody? He died from complications of a car accident.
Car accidents can sometimes be fatal, and unfortunately, that was the case for Lil Kody.
We don’t know the exact details of what happened to Lil Kody, but we know that he was in a car accident sometime between July 11 and 13.
His last TikTok post was on July 11, and on the 13th, his sister, Zy’Kevia, posted a video with her prayers and hopes for her brother’s recovery.
She wrote, “My other half literally like day and night. My baby brother. You GOT THIS. A true warrior. Everyone is anxiously waiting on you. We’re going to get through this with no problems. Your big sister loves you.”

TikToker JuiciNicole, a friend of Lil Kody’s, also shared at the time on TikTok Live (via @entertainmentforyoahh), “Yes, Kody is still in a medically induced coma.
He’s still on the ventilator. He was in a car accident a couple of days ago. He is fighting but he is stable. We’re asking for prayers from everyone. Positive vibes only, guys.”
Sadly, however, Lil Kody did not make it. Various sources have reported that his lungs failed to heal after about a month on the ventilator, ending Lil Kody’s life too soon.
It’s unclear what exactly caused the car accident—if there were any substances involved or if it was intentional—but it seems from reports that it was just a terrible and unfortunate accident.
Lil Kody’s sister is the main source of sharing the sad news. Throughout the month between his accident and death, she shared pictures and videos honoring her brother.
On Aug. 14, however, she wrote, “Life will never be the same.
Your smile was always priceless, could brighten up the whole room. Zyquan how could you leave me, we was [sic] just getting started. Lord, I truly don’t understand.
My baby brother (big brother) as you will say. Zyquan I’m going to miss you. Lord why.”
Zy’Kevia is not the only one grieving Lil Kody’s premature death. He leaves behind a newborn daughter, Kahlani Dior Mitchell, born in January 2023, just eight months before her father’s passing.
Several social media users also expressed their sympathy. Billie Feranté commented, “RIP Kody so genuine made an impact on TikTok as well. God, I pray for your families strength.”
