Bray Wyatt's death
The wrestling world is mourning the loss of Bray Wyatt, a three-time WWE world champion who died at 36.
Bray Wyatt, whose real name was Windham Rotunda, had been suffering from a health problem that had prevented him from competing since February. His family said his death was unexpected.

Many wrestlers and fans paid tribute to Rotunda, including Dwayne Johnson, also known as The Rock. Johnson said he was “heartbroken” and had “always admired and loved” Rotunda.
“He had a unique, cool and rare character that was hard to create in our crazy world of pro wrestling.
He was amazing in his presence, promos, in ring work and connection with @WWE universe,” he wrote on X, the former Twitter.

Mick Foley, a WWE commentator, also praised Rotunda.
“He was a true visionary; one of the most compelling presences that wrestling has ever seen,” he wrote.
Rotunda came from a wrestling family. His grandfather was Blackjack Mulligan, his father was Mike Rotunda and his younger brother was Bo Dallas.

Wrestling career
He was born in Brooksville, Florida on 23 May, 1987. He was a state wrestling champion in high school and got a football scholarship to Troy University.
He left his studies to pursue a career in wrestling and made his professional debut in 2009. He used different names such as Husky Harris, Alex Rotunda, Duke Rotundo and The Fiend.

As Bray Wyatt, he played the role of a cult leader of The Wyatt family with Erick Rowan, Braun Strowman, and the late Luke Harper (aka Brodie Lee).
He was released from WWE in 2021 but returned to the ring last October at the Extreme Rules event, where he introduced a new version of his character.
Cause of death
He had been ill for several months but was close to making a comeback to WWE before his death, according to Wrestling News. Triple H, whose real name is Paul Levesque.
said he got a call from Rotunda’s father informing him of his death.

“He called me to tell me the tragic news that our WWE family member for life Windham Rotunda – also known as Bray Wyatt – passed away suddenly earlier today,” he wrote.
“Our thoughts are with his family and we ask that everyone respect their privacy at this time.
” Sean Ross Sapp, a wrestling reporter, later said that Rotunda died of a heart attack after having Covid that worsened his existing heart conditions.
“He was making positive progress towards a return and his recovery,” he said. “Unfortunately today he had a heart attack and passed away.”
